‍IMPORTANT: How To Stay Safe Online — Official Good Things Festival Channels 2026

Good Things Festival 2026 is on the horizon — and with the excitement comes something less welcome. Scammers, fake pages, and fraudulent groups are already active and will only increase as we get closer to December.

We've been dealing with this for years and we want to make sure every single person in our community knows exactly how to protect themselves. Please read this, share it, and refer back to it as the year ramps up.

🚨 The Fake Facebook Group

A Facebook group using our name and branding has already amassed over 12,000 members. It is not affiliated with Good Things Festival in any way. Groups like this typically report our content to make it appear as an official channel, then sit dormant until festival activity peaks — then they activate, offering fake live streams, fake competition wins, and other scams designed to extract your payment details and/or steal your identity.

Do not join it. If you're already in it, leave it. If you see it, report it.

🚫 No Facebook Groups — Ever

Good Things Festival does not operate any Facebook Groups. We never have. If you see a Facebook Group claiming to be us, it is fake. Full stop.

‍🚫 No Live Streams - Ever

Good Things Festival will not be streamed live. Ever. Any page, group, or account offering a live stream of Good Things — particularly one that requires payment or personal details to access — is a scam. Do not click, do not pay, do not engage.

‍🎟️ Ticket Scams

Never buy Good Things Festival tickets through social media comments, DMs, or unofficial pages. The closer we get to December, the more rampant this activity becomes. If you need to buy or resell tickets, use the legitimate Good Things reseller platform that offerS buyer protection. If a deal looks too good to be true, it is.

🏆 How We Actually Contact Competition Winners

All of our competitions have moved to an off-Facebook entry system. If you win, we will contact you via the details you provided when you entered — email, phone, or in rare cases a DM.

We will never comment on your post to tell you that you've won. We will never ask you to click a link or provide payment details to claim a prize. If someone comments on your entry saying you've won and asks you to do either of these things, it is a fake profile. Report it and ignore it.

On Instagram, be aware of "competition management" profiles that follow our entrants and attempt the same style of fraud. These can be identified by checking the profile — they are typically new accounts with no legitimate content.
